Putin says global economic recovery unstable amid pandemic

MOSCOW, Oct 21 (PRIME) – Global economic recovery is unstable due to the pandemic, and can face new challenges, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) on Wednesday.

"The processes of recovery of the global economy… are extremely unstable yet. Besides, it can face new pressing problems,” Putin said.

“The epidemic situation is difficult. The number of those who catch the coronavirus is growing in Russia and many other states, and a so-called lockdown, when companies suspend their activities or launch large-scale schedules of working from home, is announced in some countries."

The president said that health and life protection of Russians must be of the highest priority for the Russian authorities.
